WordPress compatible
Reuses wp_posts, wp_terms and the rest of the schema, including seed data — migrating a site needs no content rewrite.
A blog that is also a knowledge base.
GoPress is a self-hosted blog and knowledge-base engine. The backend is written in Go, the frontend in Vue 3, and the data model is compatible with WordPress's wp_* tables — so an existing site's posts, categories, tags and comments can move across without being rewritten.
Capabilities
Keep WordPress's content model without carrying a PHP runtime and a pile of plugin debt. GoPress keeps the schema and replaces the rest.
Reuses wp_posts, wp_terms and the rest of the schema, including seed data — migrating a site needs no content rewrite.
Markdown-first editor with live preview. Each post records its own content_format, so old and new content coexist.
Page trees, [[wiki links]], backlinks, tables of contents and macros. Long-term notes live beside the blog.
Switch between Chinese and English; the preference is stored locally. The API is language-neutral, so mobile clients read the same content.
OIDC through Casdoor with RS256 verification. Admin rights come straight from token claims, so the UI and API agree.
Ship it with one docker compose file or a set of Kubernetes manifests. Data, domain and backups stay in your hands.
GoPress began as a Go rewrite of a live WordPress site. Rather than rewriting the content, the data layer maps the wp_* tables directly; Markdown, page trees and wiki macros were added on top so the same install works as a blog and as a knowledge base. This site's blog runs on it.
